A SOLIDARITY WALK IN THE MOUNTAINS OF THE HAUTES VOSGES FOR THINK PINK
Join us for the first edition of the Walk for the Cure, where participants try to challenge their limits by walking between 50 and 100k in the French Vosges and and at the same time raise the awareness for breast cancer. We have created 3 beautiful courses through the beautiful nature of this French mountain range. No less than three of the five highest peaks of the massif are part of the route: the Honeck (1364m), the Kastelberg (1350m) and the Grand Ballon (1424m).
Participate in the 3 day walking Challenge ‘Walk for the Cure‘ or just the 1 day event ‘Walk du Grand Ballon‘
On Friday and Saturday you can choose your distance. On Sunday everybody takes the same course of 24k.
HONECK – Kastelberg
Stage 1 – Start & finish at La Belle Montange / La Belle hutte
WALK DU GRAND BALLON
Stage 2 – Start in Le Markstein and finish on top of the Grand Ballon
Stage 3 – Start in Le markstein and finish Auberge de Steinlebach
By clicking on the button ‘course map’ below you can view the route, the location of the aid stations and the altitude profile (popup image). The courses on “Trace de Trail” will be made available later.
All cut-off times at the supply posts and at the finish are calculated at an average of 3.5 km/h. If you do not reach this limit, you may not continue walking that day. The next day you can just start again.
The course markings are yellow signs with black arrows. View here an image of such an arrow.
All courses are not final, the organiser has the right to change the courses – if needs be – at any time
